We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking **Senior Engineering Manager** to join our team, supporting the **Destroyer Combat System Support Agent (DCSSA)** program. Reporting to the DCSSA Program Director, you will provide hands-on leadership to a high-performing engineering team responsible for the design, development and integration of complex systems into the Royal Australian Navy's most capable naval asset: the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers. This is a pivotal leadership role, requiring strong technical depth, strategic thinking and the ability to collaborate across a multi-stakeholder enterprise. You will work closely with the DCSSA Chief Engineer and the Maritime Systems Technical Director to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes that meet customer and operational needs. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead, inspire and develop a team of engineers delivering complex systems engineering outcomes + Manage engineering activities across scope, schedule, budget, risks and opportunities + Ensure the quality, integrity and compliance of engineering products and services + Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship across the team + Engage effectively with Defence customers and key stakeholders to achieve program objectives + Collaborate across the Destroyer Enterprise to ensure alignment and integration of engineering efforts **About You** You are an experienced engineering leader with a track record of delivering complex Defence programs and building high-performing teams. **Essential Experience & Qualifications** + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Naval Architecture or equivalent) + Extensive experience (15+ years) within the Defence industry + Demonstrated success leading and managing engineering teams in complex environments + Strong understanding of engineering governance, standards and lifecycle delivery + Current or ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance **Desirable** + Experience working with CASG, NSSG or Defence prime contractors + Professional accreditation such as CPEng, RPEQ, INCOSE CSEP or equivalent At Raytheon Australia, you will be part of a team delivering nationally significant capability.
